	NOVAkILL is running a remix contest, in association with SYNAPSE AUDIO, for DEMONIZER, the first completed song for their forthcoming album, I HATE GOD. The best remix, as judged by the band, will win Synape Audio's Synth Pack PRO, for either PC or Mac, valued at US$99. In addition, up to three remixes will be selected for inclusion on the album as bonus tracks. A prize pool of US$120 has been put up by the band for entries included with the album. Other entries may appear on NOVAkILL's MySpace page or be promoted in other ways, so there is plenty of opportunity for exposure. Deadline for submissions is Sunday June 8th 2008. Entries do not need to be finished versions, more time will be available to succesful entrants to finalise mixes. Entrants are responsible for uploading an MP3 of their remix. Entries must be submitted via the NOVAkILL Remix Competition thread on the Synapse Forum. This will allow everyone a chance to hear all the entries and discuss relative merits. Results of the competition will be announced on the Synapse Forum, a week or so after the cut-off date. NOVAkILL's labels will require non-exclusive rights to succesful entries, so that they can be included with the album. Details will be conveyed to succesful entrants. Prizes will also be payment for rights [you'll be making more than the band]. Non-ORION users might also find it helpful to download the ORION trial version and take a look at the .sfs. Two versions of the remix kit are available from the links below. One is for users of Synapse Audio ORION, it contains a .sfs file with embedded drum samples plus vocal .wav files, and another version for non-ORION users, containing separate MIDI files for each synth part [no drums], drum/loop samples and vocal parts in .wav format. The ORION version contains an instance of ANGSTkILLERmini VSTi, which can be downloaded from here, although the VSTi can be substituted on load if desired. You might also need to grab the kILL-O-RAMA effect as well. If you have trouble with the IRP, the correct impulse to use is PCM70-SmallPlate, if it matters to you. If you are using the MIDI version, you will have to wrok out where to place the vocals, as they are provided as short files - verse, chorus, etc - to keep the download size as small as possible.
