NOVAkILL - Give Peace No Chance - FREE Killer Synths, Skins

These synths and effects were made using SynthEdit and feature extensively on all NOVAkILL songs. They are VST plug-ins and will work in most compatible hosts [on Windoze PC's only]. They are provided free for you to use however you like.

The NOVAkILL k1 basic synth is also still available as a learning aid for people who are new to synthesizers.

1. Many of our older synths can still be downloaded from KARA MOON, in the VSTi Downloads section.

xxNEW N3 Synth

NOVAkILLER uses the FM Oscillator found in ANGSTkILLER but adds Hard Sync and a few other goodies to it's arsenal. Envelopes are simplified, slider-driven ADSR jobbies and Envelope modulation can be inverted for long, evolving pads.
It is as much an exercise in style as substance but still has plenty to offer.
UPDATED to Version 1.5 - more filter features, enhanced VCa envelope and tweaked UI.

xxNEW XE Platform

The latest evolution is the new XE Platform, which forms the basis of the most diverse range of killerz ever. All instruments share the same basic architecture and are differentiated by using different oscillators, from high-quality virtual-analogue, through FM and additive synthesis. Once you learn how to get around any one instrument in the range the others will instantly make sense, allowing the user to get the most out of each of them.
All instruments feature an updated X-Filter, a beefed up tempo-synced LFO with 19 waveforms, a 6-point modulation envelope, a traditional ADSR VCA envelope, powerful Unison mode, Mono/Poly operation, a revised Gate effect and a great sounding overdrive. The new user-interface feature precision editing via numeric display of most values, expanded use of X-Y Pads and large, pop-up windows for editing each envelope.

Thanks to Ouroboros for contributing presets. ANGSTkILLERmini is built around a simple FM oscillator. It is very easy to use, yet capable of a surprising range of usable timbres. This is one of the best little killerz of all time!

BRAINkILLERv2mini uses a new oscillator with built-in unison, which means you can pile on the unison voices without blowing out your CPU usage. This oscillator is also semi-additive, in that you can set the number of harmonics in the wave. This gives it a wide range of possibilities.

Thanks to Ouroboros and Moe Shinola for contributing presets. COLDkILLERmini features the excellent EVM Lightwave Oscillator. It has a number of useful presets, including sine, square, pulse and saw, as well as several "digital" waveforms.

DREAMkILLERv2mini is a straight virtual-analogue synth with a high-quality, wavetable-based oscillator. It has 16 waveforms and is possibly the best sounding oscillator available for SynthEdit.

EGOkILLERv3mini features NOVAkILL's favourite Phase Distortion oscillator. Combined with the X-Filter, this synth has an incredibly broad palette of possibilities.

NOTE: Default Volume value of -2.4 gives no boost or cut to volume. kILL-O-RAMA's large X-Y pad allows you to concurrently set pan and volume for a channel. It also features a tempo-synced LFO to facilitate auto-panning.
v1.1 NEW FEATURE: Hollow Mode inverts the left channel to create a spacious stereo effect.

killerGATE+ is NOVAkILL's first VST effect. It combines many elements found on the synths into a handy multi-effects unit. It features an expanded GATE, a State-Variable Filter with resonance, an LFO and Distortion with Wet/Dry mix controls. It should be used as an insert effect.
